Run it and follow the instructions for that. If that isn't there (like it wasn't for me) go to dev options and click "Revoke USB debugging authorisation" then plug it in again. If it says anything other than that, there should be a popup on your phone asking to grant permission or something like that. Your device should show and say device next to it. Plug your phone into your computer and open up your CMD (start menu, type cmd, then press return). Make sure you've run through the initial setup for the phone and go into the dev options (activated by going to Settings>About phone>Software Info and then pressing multiple times on the build number) and activate usb debugging. You'll need to install ADB for this next step, so go to this blog post and pick a method! I found the 15 seconds adb installer to work quickly and flawlessly. Then follow the instructions in the xda post about the flasher tool on flashing (making sure you use the CSE flash rather than the normal flash option). Once that has downloaded, boot your G3 into download mode by turning it off, then holding down the up volume while plugging it into your computer by USB. Download seems to be slow on that site though. I notice you have an AT&T D850, you can find your download at the top here. Next you'll want to download a KitKat version of the KDZ. Then you'll want to download the LG Flash Tool 2014. This is also assuming you have a windows machine, so apologies if not.įirst, make a backup of everything you want to keep off of your current phone setup (pictures etc.). I also have no idea how much you know about this sort of stuff, so forgive me if I sound patronising. It certainly is! I'm bored and procrastinating before going to bed, so here's what I did in exactly the same situation as you are in now.
